When people talk about comedy in Australia, they talk about Kings.

Not because we’re flashy. Not because we’re mainstream. But because we do what other clubs won’t, we build from the ground up. Kings of Comedy isn’t just a comedy night, it’s a movement. A home for comedians. A crowd favourite. A club that started in Melbourne and exploded across the country with raw talent, real laughs, and a relentless commitment to good comedy.

It Started in Melbourne… Now We’re Here

Kings began as a late-night experiment tucked into a Melbourne backstreet venue. We weren’t trying to compete, we were trying to create. A space where comics could be raw, honest, and hilarious without playing to corporate crowds or watered down expectations. Fast forward to now, and we’re Australia’s first multi-state underground comedy club, operating in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart, Launceston, Gold Coast and soon the Sunshine Coast.

Where Comedians Want to Be?

There’s a reason performers message us from across the country (and even internationally): they want in. Why? Because Kings is where comedians are treated like artists, not filler acts. It’s where rising stars sharpen their sets, touring headliners try new material, and nobody’s too cool to support the room. If you crush it here, people talk.

More Than a Club, It’s a Comedy Family

Our shows are electric, but it’s the vibe off stage that sets Kings apart. We’ve got comics who fly interstate just to hang out. Regulars in the crowd who’ve been following us for years. Producers, MCs, and venue staff who know your name. It’s a space that holds community and creativity in equal measure.

What Makes Kings… Kings?

• Rotating showcases: Our famous Friday and Saturday shows mix headliners with rising talent
• Bucket pull nights: Like Kill Tony, but less circus, more coaching
• Underground energy: Authentic rooms packed with real laughter, no fake stuff
• Nationwide reach: The only underground club operating across 6+ Aussie cities
• Comedians we’ve helped launch: More than we can count, and we’re just getting started
